We got a 3 on 1 situation for Manami here. If Naruko is smart, he will join the Hakone duo to stop the surging Kyoto Fushimi pair.

It’ll be interesting to see how the game is played here. Hakone had a similar situation where the ace pulled a mountain climber to the finish, but still managed to lose. It would be fitting to see that happen here again, with Manami able to take advantage of the chaos to get a jump on the competition. Personally, I thought it was harsh to not have him win the first time, but hopefully the mangaka will see fit that he wins this time around.

A side note: in cycling IRL, for a competitor to claim a jersey (ie. for Teshima to claim the Mountain jersey) they must complete the rest of the stage. So, I believe the mountain stage will go again to Hakone if it follows those rules.

Hakone and Fushimi get destroyed while fighting themselves and poor Manami loses the fight against Sohoku with Imaizumi who gets to protect Onoda for a long time leaving him fresh enough to beat Manami on the final sprint.

Well this is my guess and it would be very cycling-tactics like.

Lets hope not, Manami probably has a lot left in the tank and has been reflecting on his performance from the last Inter-High for a whole year. The chaos might be enough to distract the Sohoku duo in order for him to make a moce, although 10 km out is a difficult move to pull off.

10 Km alone is hard to do since Onoda is just as good as a climber as he is. Don't forget that if he catches Sohoku Imaizumi and Onoda might attack in turn spending Manami's energy before the finishing line

Remember the last year Inter High? Onoda fall in 1st day and using a lot of stamina to catch up, 2nd day he went and carry Tadokoro. Its not possible to get back into full stamina in 3rd day after a lot of work in the first 2 day. Plus, while Onoda went to Akihabara a lot of times, cycling normally and cycling for race are 2 different thing. Race use far more stamina. So during the 3rd day in last year last, Onoda stamina are not even in the peak, normally he should lost all stamina and lost. But he was able to fight and win.
If Onoda can do it, why Manani can't? Manami still would be able to fight Onoda as fresh as he can on the final sprint. You are just saying Manani cannot do it because he is not MC. Its kind of a big double standard.
